Kalamazoo Outrage Soccer Games
Where: Loy Norrix Fields, Portage Michigan
When: Friday, June 18th and Saturday, June 19th. Both games start at 7:30 PM.
Description: We are very excited about this fundraiser. The Kalamazoo Outrage are teaming with the Coed Crushers to offer you this two for one deal. If you buy your tickets from the Crushers, one ticket gets your into both games. Each ticket cost five dollars. Two dollars from every ticket sold will be donated to the Crushers.
On Friday, June 18, 2010 the women will be playing the Buffalo Flash. The game starts at 7:30 PM. If you have been following the blog, you will know I grew up in Buffalo, New York. Who do I cheer for? On Saturday, June 19, 2010, the men will be playing the Tronot Lynx. This game also starts at 7:30 PM.
The Outrage have offered our Region several perks. 44 players from the U-8 division will escort the players on to the field at the beginning of the game. Two teams from the U-10 girls division will play a mini game half time of the women's game on Friday the 18th. The Crushers (the U-10 National Team) will play a team in a mini game during half time of the men's game on Saturday the 19th. Players from the U-14 division will "shag balls" (chase down balls kicked outside the playing field). The Outrage have even offered several players from their team to act as guest coaches for one practice and one game for several lucky AYSO teams.
The Kalamazoo Outrage are made up from local players and players from around the world. These teams play soccer at a very high level. Last year one, of the Outrage players, Eric Alexander, was drafted by FC Dallas from MLS (Major League Soccer). Eric was one of the local players, haling from Portage, Michigan. This is a great chance to take your family on a fun summer outing. You'll get to see top level players. Two games for 5 bucks, you can't find family entertainment any cheaper then that. Come out and support your home town Outrage and help the Crushers with their trip to Florida.

Bake Sales
When: April 18, 2010 & May 23, 2010.
Where: Sam's Club located at 7021 Westnedge Avenue, on the corner of Westnedge and Romance Road in Portage, Michigan
Descritions: The parent's (probably the moms) of the Crushers will be baking delicious desserts and offering them for sale outside of Sam 's Club. Stop by, satisfy your sweet tooth, and support the Crushers.

Flower Sale
When: May 1, 2010 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.
Where: Behind the Paw Paw Middle School which is located at 313 West Michigan Avenue (AKA Red Arrow Highway).
Discription: The Crushers will be selling flowers behind the Paw Paw Middle school on May 1, 2010 and May 8, 2010. The sale will begin at 9 am and end at 1 pm. The Crushers will be selling a wide variety of spring flowers. You are going to buy them some where. So come on out, support the crushers, and get your flowers for the spring and summer.

It Ain't Over Yet Soccer Tournament
When: June 5, 2010 and June 6, 2010
Where: Soccer fields in Region 250 (Paw Paw, Lawton, and Gobles)
Description:
The It Ain't Over Yet Tournament is a Region 250 only tournament. It is a chance for all the teams in a division to play one more weekend and to claim bragging rights. The tournament will feature round robin play on Saturday. The four top teams will play in the semi finals on Sunday. The winners will play in the championship game and those who do not win in the semi finals will play to determine third and fourth place.
Our younger players, U-5 and U-6, will enjoy two days of Soccerfest. For these young athletes, it will be two days of games and any other fun we can dream up. For these athletes we are focusing on the fun of playing, not winning it all.
There will be concession stands selling food and drinks for those families at the fields all day. We are working on having games, other than soccer, to give kids something to do in between games.
The cost will be ten dollars a player. If a U-6 team has six players, it would cost $60.00 to enter the tournament. If another U-6 team only had four players that wanted to play, it would cost $40.00. Every child will receive a medal for their participation.
So, come on out and have some fun at the inaugural "It Ain't Over Yet" Tournament.
